Service Porter Job Descriptions and Responsibilities
- Treat customers and fellow employees as you would want to be treated.
- Maintain a clean and safe Service Department throughout, including but not limited to, service entrance and office.
- Perform shuffle car duties to provide maximum customer satisfaction.
- Oversee and maintain customer records in accordance with the Dealer’s customer information safeguarding policies.
- Assist when available in routing vehicles from service entrance to the appropriate parking area, making certain vehicle is properly locked up, keys tagged, and returned along with repair order to dispatcher for routing.
- Exercise safe driving habits at all times.
- Act as liaison in reporting any necessary maintenance repairs needed in service or parking areas to Service Manager for his attention.
- Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings.
- Ensure proper appearance in accordance with company dress code at all times.
- Support all departments in the dealership and ensure the customer satisfaction policies are followed.
