Interested in a Marketing Internship with Arrow? This internship opportunity will provide experience with marketing and advertising, and much more. Students from all of the local universities are welcome to apply. One student will be able to intern per semester (spring, summer, and fall are welcome).
Internship Description:
Marketing interns with Arrow will be given the following responsibilities and will aid the Marketing Department in the following areas:
- Providing input in marketing and advertising meetings on how to expand the Arrow name throughout Abilene and the surrounding communities
- Performing marketing research on demographics in the area
- Developing advertising strategies and campaigns, followed by aiding in the implementation of them
- Participating in the marketing department’s events, such as Mission Thanksgiving, Ford Fest, Don Smith Memorial Golf Tournament, and the ongoing program Teacher Tribute
- Creating direct mail, internet, or print advertisements with graphic design (experience in graphic design is beneficial)
- Data entry

Abilene Christian University Requirements
MKTG 499 Marketing Internship: experience applying marketing knowledge and skills in a professional setting. Prerequisite: MKTG 340, with a grade of "C" or better; 2.75 or higher GPA in business courses; 2.5 or higher GPA overall; approval from director of Internships.
JMC 495 JMC Internship:On-the-job training for a minimum of 160 hours under the student's JMC advisor and a supervisor at the internship site. Prerequisites: senior standing as a JMC major and approval by the internship director. You must also complete a one-credit-hour internship course. We recommend that you take this course in the semester prior to starting your internship. You will learn skills that will help you with internships and entry-level jobs, such as resume writing and interviewing techniques. Hardin-Simmons University Internships Requirements
In order to be eligible for the internship program, students must be enrolled in the Kelley College of Business, must have completed four semesters or at least 60 semester hours of credit toward a business degree, must carry a minimum 2.5 grade point average and meet any other requirements set by individual employers, and finally students must be recommended by their advisors for internship credit.
Course credit counts as an advanced business elective. Pass/fail grades are given for internship credit. The student's faculty advisor must approve the internship. The internship experience requires at least 100 hours of work related to the student's academic field.

McMurry University Requirements
Marketing 43X8 Marketing Internship
Internship 4X88 (variable credit)
To qualify for academic credit, the student must meet the following minimal requirements:
Student must have completed 90 hours toward their undergraduate degree. Some positions may require specific skills and may require completion of certain courses. Student must be in good academic standing with the university.
Once enrolled in a 4X88 course in the appropriate concentration the student is required to work approximately 120-150 hours to receive 3 credit hours, 90-120 for two credit hours, and 60-90 for one credit hour. Required forms are available through the School of Business Office, or the Director of the Business Internships.
